I was the project manager and lead senior designer for a series of TV broadcast and online marketing animations for the KQED Testimonial Campaign and had the pleasure of working with Pablo Sanchez as our independent contractor for illustration and animation. This was a fast track project with an extremely tight turnaround. Pablo was an exceptional partner for this project. He was an intuitive and generous collaborator. He had the ability to maintain the foundational tone for the project while cranking out an immense amount of individual character illustrations and animated assets. He balanced taking directions from multiple members of our design team and was able to prioritize his deliverables to keep all the moving parts of the campaign on track. He knew what questions to ask in order to get the best outcome. When last minute changes came up, he was flexible and kept the joyful attitude he had throughout the project. From ideation to storyboard to execution, we were able to finish ahead of time and had the wiggle room to add touches that blew our client away. The project was a success for all stakeholders and Pablo is now a great resource for the KQED Design Team. I look forward to working with him in future projects!
